As per our business model, we do not typically pass your work (and associated data) to subcontractors. 1. Definitions
"The Company" refers to Corgi Solutions Ltd, trading as Corgi Couriers and “Corgi Digital”.
"The Customer" refers to the person or entity booking the services.
"Goods" refers to the items being transported.
"Courier Services" refers to the carriage of goods for hire and reward from a collection point to a delivery point.
"Removals Services" refers to the process of packing, loading, transporting, and unloading of household or business goods from one property to another.
2. The Service
2.1. The Company agrees to provide either Courier Services or Removals Services as agreed upon during the booking process.
2.2. For Removals Services, the scope of work (e.g., number of rooms, packing services, dismantling/reassembly) will be defined in the quote.
2.3. Any delivery or completion timescales provided are estimates. The Company is not liable for delays beyond its direct control.
3. Customer's Obligations
3.1. The Customer warrants that they are the owner of the Goods or have the authority to arrange their transport.
3.2. For all Services: The Customer must ensure that all Goods are safely and securely packaged.
3.3. For Removals Services: Where the Customer chooses to pack their own boxes ("Packed By Owner"), the Company's liability for the contents of those boxes is limited to loss only, not damage, unless external impact damage to the box is evident.
3.4. The Customer must provide accurate and complete collection and delivery addresses.
3.5. For Removals Services: The Customer must ensure that access to both properties is safe and clear of obstructions. The Customer is responsible for securing adequate parking for the Company's vehicle(s).
3.6. The Customer must disconnect all appliances (e.g., washing machines, dishwashers, fridges) prior to the arrival of the Company.
3.7. The Customer must inform the Company in advance of any items that are excessively heavy, fragile, or require special handling.
4. Prohibited Goods
4.1. The Company will not, under any circumstances, knowingly carry the following: frozen or chilled pharmaceuticals, or livestock.
4.2. The Customer agrees to indemnify the Company against any loss or damage arising from the transport of undeclared prohibited items.
5. Company Liability & Insurance
5.1. The Company's liability is strictly limited by the terms of its insurance policies.
5.2. For Courier Services: Liability for any loss of or damage to Goods is limited to a maximum of £20,000 per consignment. The policy excess of £100.00 is payable by the Customer.
5.3. For Removals Services: Liability for loss of or damage to Goods will be limited to the amount stipulated in our specific Removals Insurance policy, which will be detailed on our quote.
5.4. Liability for Property Damage: In the course of Removals Services, any liability for damage to the Customer's property (e.g., walls, floors) is limited to the terms of our Public Liability insurance. Our PL insurance limit is £2,000,000, with a property damage excess of £250.00 payable by the customer.
6. Claims Process
6.1. Any claim for loss of or damage to Goods must be notified to the Company in writing within 7 days.
6.2. For Removals Services: Any claim for damage to property (e.g., scuffs to paintwork) must be noted on the job completion form and pointed out to our staff before they depart the delivery address.
6.3. All claims must be accompanied by photographic evidence and proof of value.
7. Payment Terms
7.1. For Courier Services: Payment terms will be present on quotes and invoice.
7.2. For Removals Services: A deposit may be required to secure the booking. The final balance is due upon completion of the removal, before our staff depart the delivery address.
7.3. For account customers, payment is due within 30 days of the invoice date.
8. Governing Law
8.1. These terms and conditions shall be governed by the law of England and Wales.
